Mission pics

I love when I have a chance to practice my photography.  It isn't something that I feel I can do full time, or even part time, right now, but I love that I get asked every now and then to do a shoot.

Here are a few snapshots of one of my dear friend's son who is preparing to leave for Argentina soon.

Amanda

Here is a story of a girl who moved to the USof A all the way from Germany.  This girl had a boyfriend who also lived in Germany, but moved to the USof A to learn a new a language and then move to the Ukraine for two years.  This girl was sad and wanted to send some pictures of herself so he wouldn't forget her.  Here are those pictures..........

Does this pose look familiar?? It's Ainsley inspired.

Christmas pictures

It's that time of the year again. Christmas pictures must be taken. I usually only take a picture of the kids for the cards, but this year I included Cache and myself. You'll have to wait until you get the card to see the final, but here are a few outtakes. Well, not really outtakes. I love them and I'm going to put them on my wall.

o.n.e

This little one turned one all the way back in June. June 2nd to be exact. The day before we left to visit San Francisco. We rushed a party in before we left. I actually decorated with UNO cards and decorated a very fantastic cake to look like an UNO card (get in UNO=1)

note:my computer screen is in desperate need of calibration. I edit pictures and they look fine on my PC and then I check on the MAC and they have a total color cast. I hope to get it fixed soon. Just know that I know and it is totally bugging me. I wish I had PS on the MAC.

A friend of mine asked if I would take some pictures of her and her friends in trade for babysitting. Umm-let me think about that-OF COURSE!!! good trade in my opinion. Aren't they so beautiful? (and handsome)

(if you are viewing my blog in Internet Explorer I understand that my blog is a little jacked. I will try to take care of that as soon as possible)

OHS Homecoming

I was able to photograph my Nephew's homecoming group. It was a lot of fun, it brought back a lot of memories of my high school dances-whew glad those years are over.

sneak peak

I photographed my first wedding last week, and it went pretty good. They aren't the pictures I saw in my head, but there are a lot that I am happy with.

2009

We were able to spend New Years Eve with our good friends/traveling buddies (long live Cancun, Bryce, Deer Valley, Snowbird, and random outings) the G's or in Rockband language -Bob and Coco. They were visiting from D.C. and it was so fun to catch up with them again.
We stayed up until midnight playing Wiifit and RB2 and enjoying it the whole time! Can you believe they had never played it before or anything like it for that matter-not even Guitar Hero. We were excited to introduce them to this obsession."Bob" scored great on the mic, drums, and guitar-a definite jack of all trades.
Finley trying so hard to make it to the 12:00 chime. Unfortunately he only made it to 11:00.

While the G's were in town I was able to take pictures of their sweet little girl (this was the first time I had ever met her) Isn't she beautiful?I would like to make more traditions for holidays. Maybe Rockband will become one of our New Years traditions. I also have a friend that makes waffles at midnight-which sounds really fun. Valentines is coming up and we don't have any set traditions, Do You? I would like to hear about more traditions, so if you feel like it.......please pipe up and share.

Christmas Festivities

We enjoyed several Christmas traditions last week. We began by going to the Festival of the Trees to see peanut perform in her choir. She was so cute. I love watching her perform because she loves it and gets totally into it.
The kids sat on Santa's lap for the first time in their entire lives. Yes, Peanut is almost 7 and this is the first year she was brave enough to take a seat. She asked Santa for an American Girl doll and Finley asked for Spike the remote control dinosaur (he saw it in a magazine and has been in love ever since, and the display at Target only confirmed his love) . hmmm we will have to see what Santa decides on.Sunday we enjoyed a trip downtown to see Cache perform in his choir. He has been singing with the Sally Bytheway choral for 4 years now and they are AMAZING! They are right up there with the Mo-tab in my unbiased opinion :) I am glad that they perform at Temple Square each year because it gives an excuse to see the lights. I honestly don't know if we would make the time to see them if it wasn't for the performance. Without fail the lights were beautiful and the nativity and the Luke II video and the Christus brought a lot of great questions from Finley. I liked being able to explain the "reason for the season".
