A weekend getaway

This weekend Cache and I got a babysitter (thanks Mom & Dad!) and spent a night downtown in a hotel that has the most soft and cozy beds in the valley. It was a much needed getaway. Don't get me wrong my children are everything to me, but being with them 14 days straight and my husband on the the other side of the earth unable to lend a helping hand, left me frazzled and tired. I just wanted a nights rest without the demands of Motherhood. The responsibility of dinner didn't fall on my shoulders, waking with a boy that has frequent nightmares wasn't my job, baths weren't on my list, breakfast didn't enter my mind (well, at least not until I got hungry). It was fantastic, I am refreshed and ready (maybe excited!?) to fulfill my duties as a wife and mother. I think every woman needs a little time off every now and then.
Thanks Cache for the weekend!
One of my favorite pic's from the night. I love this man. His laugh is contagious.
Our friends,Tyler and Marjorie, recommended eating at Cannella's for dinner and it was delicious. Isn't this meal so pretty? I had to take a picture,
mmmm my mouth is watering, is yours?

YES! Ravioli (or gnocchi) in pesto sauce is one of my very favorite things to eat! Sounds like fun. You take such great photos!

I am glad you got a well deserved break! It's funny how 1 night off can make such a difference! (and I only have one kid!) How does anyone do it with more than 1?
