FHE

We are going to be learning this song for FHE tonight(there is an updated version on Sugardoodle.net which includes Elder Neil L. Anderson). Not only will it teach Peanut and Finley the apostles, but it will help me and Chuckles too, we are always getting the apostles mixed up. This last week we were able to attend our first temple session at the Draper Temple and we were in the same session as Elder Richard G. Scott, we were trying to remember what his talk was about at Genenral Conference 4 days before. We were totally wrong we said it was on Provident Living and no it was on Temple Worship. Hopefully this song will help us keep them all straight.

LOL!

Today Finley said to me "Sometimes I take my boogers out of my nose, and then put them back into my nose" gross, but it is better than eating them, which we have finally broken him of. I guess we need more tissues around the house so he has a place to put them.

Good Mail

You all know I am a blog-a-holic, it is an addiction I am not ashamed of. Through all the blog's I read everyday every now and then I come across a post about the blogger receiving "good mail" I always think how fun it would be to receive some of my own "good mail' but it usually requires some sort of card making group where you make cards and send it off to 10 of your groupies and they in return send 10 cards of their own and so on. I am not crafty (I have dreams that I was) nor do I really like making cards, or baking delicious goodies, and in fact I am pretty unmotivated so it would be hard to get myself to the post office. So the thoughts of any "good mail" coming in my mailbox isn't likely......until........yesterday. My good friend Nicole must've read my depressing status on Facebook about how I was going to wash all of Peanut's baby clothes to try and get myself excited about baby's arrival and to forget how LARGE and miserable I am, because when I opened my mailbox yesterday there was a package addressed to me! It was from Nicole in Colorado. I thought huh? Is it my birthday? no. Did I send her homemade cards in my sleep? no, i don't think so. I ripped the package open in a totally excited state of confusion. And this is what was inside:Ooooh, so cute. The cutest little outfit and the sweetest card to go along with it. Thanks, Nicole! Your gift made me smile the rest of the day and into today. I have been wearing the outfit on my belly all morning.....well, maybe not all morning, but it has been placed there several times throughout. Your gift made me excited to be having a baby and even more excited to be having a girl that can wear this adorable piece of clothing. And thanks for fullfilling my dream of recieving "good mail", I hope I can return the favor soon. Love ya!

luck o' the Irish

We had a festive St. Patrick's day. I actually had some energy and motivation yesterday so I tried to make the day special for the kids.

It started off with waking up to a surprise from a visitor who left his mark all over the house.
And he played a nasty trick on us by turning our milk green. Peanut would not have anything to do with the green milk and whined and cried the whole way through breakfast because she did not want to eat her mini wheats with GREEN MILK!
Our little Leprechaun's gold must have kept falling out of his pocket and since we live on the wrong side of the rainbow his gold magically changed into chocolate -yum-.St. Patrick's day is not complete without our traditional Corned beef and cabbage meal complete with green Jell-o and Irish soda bread. And the leprechaun even left me a surprise in the cupboard......a box of girl scout Somoa's, ahhh my leprechaun must love me.

It was a fun St. Patty's day. It was fun to celebrate, even though we had some friends visit straight from Ireland last summer and they said they don't really do anything special for the day and they don't eat corned beef and cabbage :( oh well, we will stick with our Americanized traditions.

WOW, wow, wow!

I know this is probablly posted all over the web, but I was totally amazed by this girl's knowledge of the LDS church and I wanted to document it for me to watch again (and maybe again).

She's 7!

Guess who turned 7? It was almost a month ago, but I wanted to document it anyway. Our little Peanut turned 7 on Feb. 6th. She chose to go to chuck-a-rama the night(friday) of her birthday with all of our family. Her birthday party was the next day(saturday) and consisted of 8 little girlies, an hour drive to Heber, 3 1/2 hours of a cooking class in her great aunt's catering kitchen, and a lot of webkinz and high school musical pj's. It was a lot of fun. I hope she remembers it forever. Unfortunately I forgot my camera and was only able to take pictures with my mom's which she hasn't forwarded on to me yet. So some day soon I will add some pictures. And the last celebration of the weekend happened on Sunday when she invited some family friends from the neighborhood over to have sundaes and play games. It was a weekend of partying and worth every minute to celebrate 7 years with our sweet wonderful little girl.

randomness

I am getting sick of looking at the bucket list post every time I sit down to peruse my "lemonheads" list. This post is to move it down the line and record some of the thoughts going on in my head.

  • I am really excited that last night Chuckles(new name for my husband) and I were able to go to the temple-together-which has not happened for months. Although we did ordinances in which we were unable to be together, it was nice to be able to drive in the car alone and talk on the way to and from. We were also able to meet in the chapel and enjoy a meeting put on by our stake president and the temple presidency. Ah....refreshing to feel the peace that comes with sitting in the temple.
  • I am also really excited that we hired a new babysitter last night (one of my cute beehives) and when we returned home the house was CLEAN! not just cleaned up from the mess that they had made during the time we were gone, but cleaner that when we left! The counters were wiped down, dishes were put in the sink, floor was swept, and the carpets were VACUUMED! And guess what else.........the kids were in bed with their teeth brushed. There is definitely a bonus in store for this babysitter. Note:All of our babysitters are fantastic in some way or other, but yesterday this is the type of babysitter I needed.
  • Peanut has been "off track" for the last three weeks. (yay, next year the elementary is switching to traditional schedule) we took the opportunity to visit the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point and the aquarium. She also participated in off-track bowling with some neighborhood friends. We also were able to pigsit the class guninea pig. I actually became a little attached to the little critter, although his stink was too strong for my nose.
  • why is that people (including myself) have slacked from their blogs now that Facebook has become more popular? Goal for myself: write a post at least once a week.
  • I can't wait until the weather is warmer, I am itching to break out the camera again. I could take pictures inside, but we just don't have great natural light in our house and I hate using the flash. I found a new camera that I want, it's only 8,000.00 dollars, I am sure I could talk Chuckles into it (hahahah-ya never going to happen-actually in reality I don't think i could talk myself into it).
  • Both of my kids are crying right now I guess I better log off.
  • oh ya, one more thing. my blog header kinda makes me cringe. Christmas is so over and right now I hate even thinking about. Goal for myself: locate new blog header picture.
